Let’s be honest: Christmas lights aren’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think eco-friendly. But here’s the thing — we believe lighting up your house like a Hallmark movie doesn’t mean you have to torch the planet while you’re at it.

At Son of a Nutcracker Lights, we’re on a mission to prove that holiday magic and sustainability can go hand in mittened hand.

LED or GTFO

Old-school incandescents? Yeah, we left those in the attic with your uncle’s broken leg lamp. We roll strictly with commercial-grade LED lights. Why? Because they burn 90% less energy, last way longer, and won’t overheat your roof. They’re also way brighter — which is the whole point, isn’t it?

More sparkle, less guilt.

Power Smart, Shine Hard

We don’t just slap lights on your house and call it a day. We design every setup to look baller and be efficient. With smart timers and custom layouts, we control when and how long your lights run — saving energy without sacrificing the glow. Your electric bill? Lower. Your street cred? Higher.

Less Driving, More Lighting

Behind the scenes, we’re nerding out on route optimization. That means our crews hit installs by area — less zig-zagging across town, more fuel saved, fewer emissions. We’re not just lighting homes — we’re streamlining the whole damn sleigh ride.

Bye Bye, Waste

Most holiday installs come with a ton of packaging, zip ties, busted clips, and tangled cords. Not ours. We reuse what we can, recycle what we can’t, and keep garbage bags out of landfills wherever possible. We’re also working on a program where you can drop off your old lights, and we’ll make sure they don’t end up in the trash.

Think of it as giving your old string lights one last sleigh ride before retirement.

Solar? It’s Coming.

We’re not gonna lie — solar isn’t there yet for big installs, but we’re already testing some setups. The goal is to run entire displays on solar within the next few seasons. That’s right — Santa might be showing up with a panel and a battery pack.

Real Talk

We’re not trying to greenwash anything. We still use trucks. We still use to many plastic water bottles. But we’re not just out here trying to make homes look amazing — we’re trying to do it in a way that actually gives a crap.

So if you want to deck your halls without wrecking the planet, we’ve got you.
